On August 5, 2026, the Tay Ninh Steering Committee held a meeting to review its efforts in locating and repatriating the remains of fallen soldiers, particularly those who served in Cambodia during various conflicts. The meeting was presided over by Pham Tan Hoa, Deputy Chairman of the Tay Ninh People's Committee and head of the committee responsible for the identification and repatriation of these soldiers.

During the meeting, the committee discussed the progress made over the past 60 days in collecting samples of fallen soldiers' remains and announced the launch of an intensive campaign titled “350 Days and Nights of Speedy Action for Victory.” This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of their operations in identifying and bringing home the remains of Vietnamese soldiers who lost their lives during the war.

Colonel Tran Van Cu's appointment as the Commander of the Tay Ninh Military Command is seen as a crucial step in strengthening the province's military leadership, particularly in the context of ongoing efforts to honor and remember the sacrifices made by soldiers in past conflicts.
