On August 3, Bảo Ngọc announced her charitable project and shared her preparations for the Miss World competition, which will see her compete alongside 130 other contestants worldwide starting August 8.
Her mother, Nguyễn Thị Thu Hài, shared her emotional journey as a parent, noting how Bảo Ngọc has matured and taken charge of her life, often prioritizing her studies over material desires. Despite their busy schedules, her parents have always supported her ambitions, ensuring she has the best opportunities to pursue her passions.
During this time, Bảo Ngọc has faced various challenges, but her family has remained a source of encouragement. They humorously noted her resilience at such a young age. As she embarks on her journey at Miss World, they hope she maintains her health and showcases her abilities while spreading positive energy.
In her public appearances, Bảo Ngọc has expressed gratitude to her family and supporters. At a recent event, she introduced her cultural costume, 'Lung Trời Vương Nắng,' designed by young talents, which she will present during the 'Dances of the World' segment of the competition. The outfit draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the Dao ethnic group in Northern Vietnam during the blooming season.
Bảo Ngọc aims to be a bridge connecting Vietnam's beauty to the world, greeting contestants in English and showcasing her cultural heritage. She has spent the past year preparing for the pageant, enhancing her skills in various areas, including public speaking and performance.
With a height of 1.86 meters and a background in Business Management from the University of the West of England, Bảo Ngọc has also earned scholarships from prestigious institutions. She is the founder of the Gen Zero project, focusing on environmental protection and youth leadership. Bảo Ngọc has actively participated in discussions on climate issues, including the COP 29 conference in Azerbaijan and the ASEAN Future Forum.
The Miss World pageant, established in 1951, is one of the oldest and most prestigious beauty contests globally, promoting global solidarity and recognizing women of beauty, intellect, and meaningful community projects. This year's event marks a significant milestone, celebrating 75 years of the competition. Contestants will arrive in Hanoi on August 8, engaging in various activities across Vietnam before the grand finale on September 5, where the reigning Miss World, Opal Suchata from Thailand, will crown her successor.
