From August 3, 2026, Nội Bài International Airport has introduced a new traffic management plan that alters the pickup points for ride-hailing services. Passengers using these services will now need to go to specific parking areas rather than waiting directly in front of the terminals, a move designed to alleviate congestion around the airport.

New Pickup Locations

At Terminal 1, passengers are instructed to pick up their ride-hailing vehicles at parking lot P2, located in front of Hall E. For Terminal 2, the designated pickup area is parking lot P1. In cases where P1 is full, vehicles may be redirected to parking lot P7.

Traditional taxis, which are licensed by the airport, will still be allowed to pick up passengers closer to the terminals. At Terminal 1, taxis will pick up passengers at lane 2, between columns 2 and 10. At Terminal 2, the designated lane for taxis is lane 4, between columns 3 and 10.

Aiming for Safety and Order

This new arrangement for ride-hailing services aims to reduce the number of vehicles stopping and waiting in front of the terminals, thereby decreasing the risk of localized traffic congestion and ensuring better traffic order and safety. Passengers are advised to follow the signage at the airport to locate the correct pickup areas before calling or heading out for their rides.
