A young man was arrested in Quang Tri province after he attempted to flee from law enforcement by hitting a traffic police officer with his vehicle. The incident occurred when police officers were conducting a routine inspection and discovered the man transporting more than 100 kilograms of illegal fireworks.

According to local authorities, the young man was driving a car when he was signaled to stop by the traffic police. Instead of complying, he accelerated and struck one of the officers, leading to a chaotic scene on the road. Fortunately, the officer did not sustain serious injuries, but the act of aggression prompted a swift response from the police.

Following the collision, police pursued the vehicle and successfully apprehended the suspect shortly after. Upon searching the car, they discovered a significant amount of fireworks, which are prohibited under local laws due to safety concerns.

This incident highlights ongoing issues with illegal fireworks trafficking in Vietnam, where authorities have been cracking down on such activities to ensure public safety. The young man now faces serious charges, including assaulting a police officer and illegal possession of explosives.
