On August 1, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Enforcement Department announced the completion of the 10th payment round to bondholders involved in the Trương Mỹ Lan case, with a total of over 318.1 billion VND distributed. This payment is part of the ongoing efforts to compensate victims and those with related rights in the high-profile case surrounding Trương Mỹ Lan, the chairwoman of the Vạn Thịnh Phát Group.

According to the department's report, the funds for this payment were sourced from repayments by individuals and organizations, as well as the liquidation of assets belonging to Trương Mỹ Lan. The total amount disbursed in this round corresponds to approximately 1.0575% of the total amount owed. A total of 42,607 bondholders received payments during this round.

In total, the Civil Enforcement Department has made 10 payment rounds, starting with the first payment on June 25, 2025, which amounted to over 7.464 trillion VND. Subsequent payments included amounts of 738.5 billion VND, 376.1 billion VND, and others, culminating in a total payment of over 12.358 trillion VND thus far.

Notably, on July 30, additional payments were made to cover previous rounds for cases where rights and obligations had been transferred, and complete account information was provided. The department has also been verifying, measuring, and appraising the assets identified in the court's ruling related to Trương Mỹ Lan and others obligated to fulfill the court's decisions.

As of July 1, 2026, new regulations under the Civil Enforcement Law and the Ministry of Finance's Circular 72/2026/TT-BTC came into effect, allowing for certain exemptions and reductions in enforcement fees. Bondholders eligible for these reductions must submit applications along with supporting documentation.
