A wedding in Dong Thap recently captured the attention of social media users when the groom, Vĩ Dân, who stands at 1.67 meters, stood on a 25 cm high chair to match his bride Khả Ái's height of 1.82 meters. This charming moment, shared widely online, showcased their unique love story that has flourished over six years despite their height difference.
The couple tied the knot on May 31, and the idea for the chair came from Khả Ái herself. She wanted their wedding photos to look balanced, prompting her to suggest that Vĩ Dân stand on the chair during their ceremony. This playful act resulted in beautiful and memorable photos that delighted their guests.
Khả Ái, a 2000-born bride from Dong Thap, and Vĩ Dân, born in 1997 and currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, first met in 2020 through a mutual friend. Their initial conversations on social media quickly revealed a deep connection, leading them to start dating after a few weeks of chatting. Interestingly, neither was aware of the other's height until their first face-to-face meeting, which brought laughter instead of awkwardness.
Throughout their relationship, the couple has embraced their height difference, often drawing attention when they are together. Khả Ái, who has always been taller than her peers, and Vĩ Dân have made their height a unique aspect of their relationship, viewing it as an endearing quality rather than a limitation.
Their families fully support their union, recognizing that love and mutual respect are the foundations of their relationship. After six years of companionship, Khả Ái and Vĩ Dân are now embarking on a new chapter in their lives as a married couple in Ho Chi Minh City.
