Predicted Slight Decrease in National Economics University Admission Scores for 2026
The admission scores for the National Economics University in Vietnam are expected to experience a slight

The National Economics University (NEU) in Vietnam has announced an expected decrease in its admission scores for the year 2026. According to Dr. Le Anh Duc, the head of the Training Management Department at NEU, the projected score range will be between 23 and 28.5, which is about 0.25 points lower than last year’s range of 23 to 28.83.
The predicted scores are divided into four categories: one group with expected scores of 27.5 and above, another above 26 points, a third group from 24.5, and a final group starting at 23 points. Dr. Duc noted that certain popular fields such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, E-commerce, and Marketing may see scores higher by 0.25 to 0.5 points compared to the general range.
This forecast is based on four key factors. Firstly, the distribution of scores from the high school graduation exams and other competency assessments. Secondly, candidates can only register for a maximum of 15 preferences, and universities can only convert IELTS scores or grant bonus points. Thirdly, NEU has increased its admission quota by 500 compared to last year and introduced 15 new programs, which may reduce competition. Lastly, historical data shows that admission scores at NEU have remained relatively stable in recent years.
Dr. Duc emphasized that this forecast serves as a reference to help candidates choose suitable majors, but the official admission scores will depend on various factors, such as the number of applications and the specific quotas for each major.
The official admission scores are expected to be announced on July 4. In the last three years, NEU has employed three admission methods: direct admission, evaluation based on three high school graduation exam subjects, and a combined assessment method, with the latter being the primary approach.
For the 2026 academic year, the tuition fees at NEU are estimated to be between 20-28 million VND for standard programs and 41-68 million VND for advanced, high-quality, and application-oriented programs. From July 2, candidates can begin registering and adjusting their university admission preferences through the Ministry's system, which will last until 5 PM on July 14. Before registering, candidates can visit the VnExpress university lookup page to check the trend of admission scores by major, school, or tuition fees. The final admission scores will be published after 5 PM on August 9.
