Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, a prominent player in Vietnamese volleyball, is currently training with the Vietnam women's national team as she prepares for upcoming competitions. Despite her aspirations to play internationally, specific plans for her participation in overseas tournaments have yet to be finalized.
Reports indicate that Thanh Thúy may receive an invitation to play for the Gunma Green Wings in Japan, where she previously competed during the 2025-2026 season. Additionally, a team from the South Korean national championship has also shown interest in acquiring her services. However, any agreements for her to play abroad will require coordination with her current team, VTV Bình Điền Long An.
Thanh Thúy has been eager to pursue opportunities that would enhance her professional development. Over the past two years, she has participated in various international competitions, including tournaments in Indonesia, Turkey, and Japan. Her recent stint with the Gunma Green Wings concluded in April 2026, after which she returned to Vietnam to compete in the first round of the 2026 National Club Championship.
The 2026-2027 season of the Japanese national championship is set to commence in October 2026, coinciding with the second round of the 2026 National Club Championship, which will take place in Vĩnh Long. As preparations continue, Thanh Thúy is also expected to participate in the 10th National Sports Festival in 2026.
