Vũ Mạnh Cường to Host 50th Anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City

Vũ Mạnh Cường, a well-known Vietnamese MC, is set to lead the artistic program commemorating the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City, which was officially named after President Ho Chi Minh. This event, scheduled for June 30, 2026, will celebrate the historical significance of the city and its connection to the nation's heritage.

With over 20 years of experience in the city, Vũ Mạnh Cường expressed his deep emotional connection to Ho Chi Minh City. He views this role not only as an opportunity but also as a challenge to convey the sentiments of millions of citizens who contribute to the city's development. "Every rehearsal brings a wave of emotions, and I feel a profound sense of gratitude and excitement," he shared.

Vũ Mạnh Cường emphasized that hosting such a significant program requires precision in language and a respectful demeanor throughout the event. He aims to transform the formal content into an emotional narrative that resonates with the audience. "I want them to listen with their hearts, not just their ears," he noted.

To achieve this, he invests time in understanding the historical context and engaging with witnesses and predecessors to capture the essence of each event. His goal is to deliver a presentation that is genuine, heartfelt, and rich in cultural significance.

Previously, Vũ Mạnh Cường has hosted various programs linked to key milestones in Ho Chi Minh City's history. He has also participated in parades celebrating national reunification. He reflected on the most touching experiences being the emotional responses from the audience, stating that the shared pride of thousands is an irreplaceable reward.

Despite facing health challenges during the recent concert "Thanh Xuân," where he co-hosted with MC Phí Linh, Vũ Mạnh Cường persevered to connect artists with over 20,000 attendees. His dedication to hosting large-scale events, such as the Yen Tu Festival and the Cham Ethnic Culture Festival, showcases his commitment to cultural engagement.
