Lucas Trejo's Family Found Dead After Venezuela Earthquakes

The heartbreaking news has emerged that the wife and children of Argentine soccer player Lucas Trejo were found dead after a series of catastrophic earthquakes struck Venezuela. The country experienced two significant tremors, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, leading to widespread devastation and a reported death toll exceeding 1,430 people.

According to family friend Edson Tortolero, Trejo's wife, Yanina Maranella, and their children, Aarón and Ainhoa, were among the victims of this tragic event. Tortolero took to Instagram to share the devastating news, expressing gratitude for the support received and requesting respect for Trejo's family during this difficult time.

The search for Trejo's family lasted an agonizing 74 hours, with the Club Sport Marítimo de La Guaira, Trejo's current team, confirming the deaths in a statement. They expressed deep condolences and called for privacy for Trejo and his loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

Trejo, who is 38 years old, joined the Venezuelan club earlier this year and has dedicated much of his career to playing in the country. Reports indicate that his father and brother traveled to Venezuela to assist in the search for Yanina, Aarón, and Ainhoa, highlighting the family's close-knit bonds during this tragic time.

On social media, Trejo had previously shared heartfelt messages about his family, including a birthday tribute to his wife in April, expressing his love and appreciation for her. The loss of Trejo's family is compounded by the club's mourning of other young talents, including the recent passing of a 14-year-old player, Victor Palacios, and staff member Adriana Aranguren.

As search operations continue, it is reported that at least 68,900 people remain missing due to the earthquakes, underscoring the scale of this disaster and the ongoing challenges faced by the affected communities.
