Heavy Rain Forecast for 11 Northern Provinces, Risk of Flash Floods
A weather forecast warns of heavy rainfall across 11 northern provinces in Vietnam over the next two days,

Lâm Đồng province has conducted a thorough review and identified a total of 505 locations at risk of flooding, landslides, and subsidence as the rainy season approaches in 2026. The Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Lâm Đồng has collaborated with local police and specialized agencies to assess these areas to prepare appropriate response strategies.
Among the identified locations, 127 areas are particularly prone to flooding, while 378 sites are at risk of landslides. Notably, many of these high-risk areas are situated along key mountain passes such as Bảo Lộc Pass, Prenn Pass, Mimosa Pass, D'Ran Pass on National Route 20, Đại Ninh Pass on National Route 28B, and Gia Bắc Pass on National Route 28.
The flooding and landslide risks are widespread across the province, especially along rivers, streams, irrigation reservoirs, and low-lying regions. The Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department has advised residents living and working in these vulnerable areas to closely monitor weather changes and take proactive measures to ensure their safety.
Residents are encouraged to report any signs of danger to the authorities promptly, enabling timely interventions to safeguard lives and property. This initiative underscores the importance of community awareness and preparedness in mitigating the impacts of natural disasters during the rainy season.
