Numerous Motorbike Owners Fined Under Decree 168

According to the traffic police department of Hung Yen Province, numerous motorbike owners have been penalized for traffic violations under Decree 168/2024/NĐ-CP. This enforcement took place between June 8 and June 14, utilizing surveillance camera systems to identify offenders.

The fines primarily targeted violations such as running red lights and speeding. The traffic police have compiled a list of vehicles that violated these regulations, which includes license plates from various provinces.

Details of Violations and Fines

The penalties for specific violations are as follows:

  • Running a red light: fines range from 4,000,000 to 6,000,000 VND.
  • Speeding by 5 km/h to under 10 km/h: fines between 400,000 and 600,000 VND, with no points deducted from the driver's license.
  • Speeding by 10 km/h to under 20 km/h: fines between 800,000 and 1,000,000 VND, also without points deducted.
  • Speeding over 20 km/h: fines from 6,000,000 to 8,000,000 VND, with a deduction of 4 points from the driver's license.

To pay the fines, individuals can visit the police station where the violation was recorded or their local police station. However, the traffic police department advises residents to go to their local traffic police office to handle these matters to avoid overwhelming the authorities and reduce travel distances.

Authorities emphasize that adhering to speed limits is not only a legal obligation but also a responsibility towards oneself, family, and the community.
