As she celebrates her 25th birthday, Miss Bảo Ngọc has shared some thrilling news regarding her academic journey. After months of preparation and anticipation, she has officially received an invitation to enroll in the Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy program at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), a prestigious institution in the United States.
Columbia SIPA, established in 1946, is consistently ranked among the top schools globally for public policy, public administration, and international relations. In her announcement, Bảo Ngọc expressed her excitement about starting her master's program in the summer semester of 2027, where she will be a full-time student throughout the course. The acceptance letter she shared indicated that this year saw an exceptionally high number of quality applications, making her admission a significant achievement.
In addition to her acceptance, Bảo Ngọc has also been awarded the title of SIPA Environmental Fellow, a scholarship program for outstanding candidates. This financial support will be directly deducted from her tuition fees and disbursed in three installments throughout the academic year, contingent upon her maintaining satisfactory academic performance.
Reflecting on her journey, Bảo Ngọc shared her joy, stating, "What makes me happiest is not just receiving a letter or reaching a new milestone, but the feeling that the things I have persistently pursued over the years are finally being recognized." She noted that her studies in public policy related to environmental issues align with her ongoing projects, particularly initiatives aimed at youth and sustainable development in the Mekong Delta.
Bảo Ngọc hopes that the knowledge, experiences, and global perspectives gained from her program will enable her to contribute more significantly to her community in the future. "Looking back at age 24, I am grateful for the opportunities to learn, work, meet wonderful people, and pursue the values I believe in. Each experience has played a part in bringing me to where I am today. As I step into this new age, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the journey ahead. Thank you to my family, teachers, friends, and everyone who has always loved, trusted, and supported me. Here’s to turning 25!"
Bảo Ngọc, born in 2001, was the first runner-up in Miss World Vietnam 2022 and crowned Miss Intercontinental 2022. She is known for her intelligence, talent, and resilience, balancing her artistic endeavors with her academic pursuits. She has previously impressed many by receiving scholarships from prestigious institutions, including a 10,000 AUD scholarship from the University of New South Wales, a SEED scholarship funded by the Canadian government, and others from Singaporean and Vietnamese universities.
In addition to her academic achievements, Bảo Ngọc has been actively involved in various initiatives, including being the coordinator for the Vietnam Youth Declaration 2023 on climate change, serving as a global ambassador for Earth Day in Vietnam, and founding the Gen Zero project, a non-profit organization promoting youth action towards the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. She also represented Vietnam at COP 29, the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
In November 2025, Bảo Ngọc graduated with honors in Business Administration from a joint program between the International University (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) and the University of the West of England. Although she did not graduate in the top 10% of her class, her accomplishments were highly regarded, given her involvement in numerous community and international projects.
