Chinese enterprises want to build Vietnam's North-South high-speed railway

The representative of China Transport Construction Group wishes to participate in investing in the construction of the North-South high-speed railway and many important traffic projects in Vietnam.

Mr. Bach said that in Vietnam, the group began operating in 1996 and has so far successfully implemented more than 20 infrastructure and energy projects such as the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, Cai Mep – Thi Vai port; Vinh Tan - Binh Thuan thermal power plant... and wind power projects.

Previously, in mid-September, on the occasion of attending the China - ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the 20th China - ASEAN Trade and Investment Summit (CABIS) in Nanning City, Guangxi Province. , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received leaders of many leading Chinese economic groups, including Mr. Tran Van - Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Railway Corporation (CREC), as well as Mr. Wang Xiaojun - Deputy General Director of China Power Construction Corporation (Power China).

Exchanging opinions with leaders of China Harbor Construction Corporation (CHEC) and representatives of China Transport Construction Corporation, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung highly appreciated the scale and achievements of the group's business investment activities in Vietnam and globally.

Minister Nguyen Chi Dung introduced to the China Transport Construction Group some orientations, goals and development situation of Vietnam's main infrastructure sectors, including highways, railways, seaports, airports and energy infrastructure.

Minister Nguyen Chi Dung said that the Government of Vietnam has issued the Action Program for Infrastructure Development in 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 and the National Electricity Development Plan for 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 (Power Plan VIII).

Vietnam encourages corporations with financial capacity, technology and high management level to participate in bidding for key infrastructure projects.

Not only did he welcome the China Transport Construction Group's plan to expand investment and business in Vietnam shortly, but Minister Nguyen Chi Dung also pointed out limitations in some projects. Infrastructure development has been carried out by Chinese enterprises in Vietnam recently.

On that basis, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung hopes that with the motto "share, cooperate, support, complement each other, win together", CCCC will not only be a major contractor but also a strategic investor. in Vietnam, sharing experiences, training human resources, and transferring technology so that Vietnam can develop and manage an effective and sustainable infrastructure system.

Thereby contributing to concretizing the policy of cooperation and connection for infrastructure development that senior leaders of Vietnam and China had previously agreed upon.

Director of China Transport Construction Corporation Bach Ngoc Chien sincerely thanked Minister Nguyen Chi Dung for the shared opinions and directions and pledged that CHEC commits to make greater efforts to participate in infrastructure development projects in Vietnam effectively.

Mr. Bach Ngoc Chien also hopes that China Transport Construction Group can truly become a "bridge" of friendship between the two countries.
