HCMC – Vietjet Air will launch an air link between Quang Ninh Province and Can Tho City from April 25, reported the local media.

The Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province said yesterday, March 30, that Vietjet Air would put the Quang Ninh-Can Tho flight into service from April 25.

The flight that takes two hours and 20 minutes will have a frequency of three times per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

It is scheduled to depart from Can Tho City at 6 a.m. and land at Van Don International Airport at 8:20 a.m. In the reverse direction, the flights will take off from Van Don International Airport at 8:55 a.m. and arrive in Can Tho City at 11:10 a.m.

Currently, Can Tho and Van Don international airports are classified as 4E level airports with a designed capacity of three million passengers annually. Till now, the operation of these two airports is both under 50% of their designed capacities; thus, they still have room to open more local and international flights.

Van Don International Airport has so far launched two local flights to connect Quang Ninh and HCMC; and Quang Ninh and Can Tho provinces.
