Int’l cruise ship brings nearly 2,400 guests to BR-VT
HCMC – The Malta-flagged passenger cruise ship Mein Schiff 5 arrived at the SP-PSA port in Ba Ria-Vung Tau
HCMC – The Singaporean-flagged Wan Hai 288 ship crashed into the Resurgence vessel in the opposite direction in Long Tau River in HCMC’s outlying district of Can Gio early this morning, February 11.
No casualties were reported, but the two vessels suffered significant damage including several shattered containers, the local media reported.
An investigation into the ship collision is currently underway.
The Resurgence, sailing under the flag of Bahamas, was taken to the port clusters in HCMC, according to a representative of the city’s maritime administration (VINAMARINE).
The Wan Hai 288 is at anchor at the scene of the accident.
