Government Resolution 68 provides cash relief for 31.3 million people

NDO – The financial relief package under the Government’s Resolution 68 and Resolution 126 has provided a total of about 36.3 trillion VND (1.6 billion USD) to 31.3 million people nationwide.


According to a report of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs on the implementation of Government resolutions on supporting employees and employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, around 31.3 million people along with 378,300 employers and business households have benefited from the programme as of January 21, 2022.

Having been in effect from July 2021, Resolution 68 has been highly appreciated by the public. In addition, the Government also signed a number of decisions to provide rice to needy people on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

Government Decision No.122, dated January 21, 2022, allocated over 3,700 tonnes of rice for people affected by floods in 2021.

Decision No.123, dated January 21, 2022, provided over 9,800 tonnes of rice to provinces for allocation to needy households during Tet holiday.

Decision No.133, dated January 26, 2022, decided to grant over 7,800 tonnes of rice to 12 provinces to ease the shortage or rice at the beginning of the year.
