QUANG NAM – Some 919 people were staying in hotels serving as paid quarantine facilities in the central province of Quang Nam from May 18, 2021.

Specifically, 446 guests are Vietnamese nationals, staying at the Mulberry Collection Silk Village and Silk hotels. Meanwhile, the remaining 473 guests staying at Vinpearl Resort & Spa Hoi An comprise eight Sri Lankan experts.

They were the first guests who paid for the service after the province’s recent approval of the official regulation on paid quarantine facilities.

According to this regulation, hotels are required to only serve Covid-19 quarantine purposes, ensuring essential living conditions and security as well as safety. The facilities must strictly comply with quarantine regulations.

Besides, people isolated at the hotels must comply with medical isolation regulations and hotel rules. After completing the quarantine period of 21 days, they must continue to remain under health supervision for another seven days.

They must inform the local governments upon arrival and must commit to the self-monitoring of health at home or residential places.

Reportedly, in Quang Nam, there are currently 10 accommodation establishments licensed by the provincial People's Committee for those who are willing to pay for quarantine services at hotels.
