Vietnam reports 11 fresh imported cases

HCMC – Eleven Vietnamese citizens and foreign experts entering Vietnam from overseas have been confirmed as Vietnam’s latest Covid-19 patients, raising the country’s tally to 2,659 cases this evening, April 7, said the Health Ministry.
The new cases were taken to quarantine centers in HCMC, Binh Duong, Hung Yen, Danang, and Ninh Binh upon their arrival in the country.
Among them, two men currently under quarantine and medical treatment in the southern province of Binh Duong flew home from France on April 4, aged 28 and 25.
Besides this, two Hanoians, including one man and one woman at the same age of 24, returned to Vietnam from the UK on April 4, boarding Flight VN0056 that landed at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province. They are being treated and quarantined at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
The next case is a 22-year-old resident of northern Thai Binh Province. He arrived home from Japan on April 5 through Danang International Airport and is being treated at Danang Lung Hospital.
Four other patients are local residents of HCMC and Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, aged 23-60. They were taken to Ninh Binh for quarantine after arriving at Van Don International Airport from the U.S. they are under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
The remaining two cases included foreign experts coming from Singapore and Pakistan, aged 30 and 46, respectively. They entered Vietnam from Dubai on April 3 and are under treatment at Cu Chi Field Hospital in HCMC.
Up to now, 2,429 coronavirus patients in the country have fully recovered. Fatalities remained at 35.
