Enjoy autumn in the Central Highlands at 4 beautiful camping spots

In autumn, the red land of the Central Highlands brings the most poetic beauty, with pine forests, waterfalls murmuring in the deep forest. At this time, many tourists flock here for the holiday of September 2, enjoying nature and camping.
The Central Highlands has long become a favorite tourist destination of passionate travelers. Visitors can admire the beauty of majestic waterfalls, high mountains or vast green forests. This place is also considered an ideal experience for visitors who love outdoor activities, and being close to nature, such as camping, making BBQ parties, staying overnight in the deep forest.

Here are some camping sites visitors should take advantage of if they can visit the Central Highlands in autumn.

01. Tuyen Lam Lake, Lam Dong

Dubbed "the most beautiful lake in the world", Tuyen Lam Lake (Da Lat City, Lam Dong province) covers an area of more than 320 hectares, bringing peaceful beauty with a calm and poetic lake surface. This is also a camping site that attracts many travel enthusiasts to explore.

Visitors can admire the three-leaf pine forest covering the majestic hill by stopping at the lake. The natural scenery here blends, creating a "masterpiece of art" that captivates many artists and professional photographers.
Not only impressive with its large space and beautiful natural scenery, Tuyen Lam Lake also become a camping and tenting spot chosen by many families and tourists when coming to Da Lat. If you want a more remote location to camp, you can rent a boat at the port to move away.

In addition to camping, from Tuyen Lam Lake, visitors can also walk or motorbike to Truc Lam Zen Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in Vietnam. After visiting the monastery, visitors can walk another 5 minutes to the cable car station to visit the Datanla tourist area and experience adventure sports activities here.

02. Ta Dung Nature Reserve, Dak Nong

Ta Dung is one of the ideal tourist destinations for those who love to explore unspoiled nature. Many parents choose it as a place to take their children camping so the family can immerse themselves in nature, forget their phones and iPads, and relax on the weekend.

From Gia Nghia town, moving along Highway 28, about 50 km, visitors to the territory of Dak Som commune (Dak Glong) will encounter Ta Dung Nature Reserve here.

Ta Dung nature reserve stretches over 20,000 hectares with about 40 islands close together and is favored by many tourists as "Ha Long Bay" of the Central Highlands.
On the islands are mainly le, lo o and mixed bamboo-wood forests. Many rare species of flora and fauna are listed in the Red Book, such as red-cheeked gibbons, leopards, small loris, etc.

In addition to admiring the rich flora and fauna, Ta Dung Nature Reserve visitors can also camp in the red soil by the lake and breathe in the fresh air. Visitors can cook dinner at dusk while watching the sunset by the lake.

The temperature at night in Ta Dung can be as low as 16 degrees Celsius; if you camp overnight here, visitors need to prepare warm clothes and necessary items.

03. Pleiku Lake

Located in the northwest of Pleiku City, Gia Lai province, and about 13km from Pleiku city center, T'Nung Lake (also known as To Nung Lake, Bien Ho or Ea Nueng Lake) is an ideal camping site visited by many tourists in the fall.

T'Nung Lake is a freshwater lake developed into a complex of Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya Forest Park Eco-tourism Area, attracting visitors to visit and experience when traveling to the mountain town.

Because it is located on a flat plateau, about 800m above sea level, in T'Nung Lake, the air is always fresh, cool, pleasant, and suitable for adults and children.

T'Nung Lake is famous for its wild, poetic natural scenery and clear blue lake surface, likened to the "blue eyes" of the great mountains and forests. Around the lake is surrounded by vast stretches of forests and majestic mountains, as beautiful as a "fairyscape" that fascinates anyone. 

Here, visitors can set up a camping tent, immerse themselves in activities close to nature such as cycling, visit villages of the J'Nai and Bana ethnic people living around the lake or go sightseeing by boat, fishing, rowing SUP and waiting for the sunset.

04. Chu Hreng Mountain

Liked to the "dinosaur spine" of the Central Highlands, Chu Hreng Mountain is located south of the city. Kon Tum, about 10km from the city center, is ideal for those passionate about camping and trekking.

Visitors can zoom in from the top of the mountain and see the beautiful Kon Tum city below. Coming here, in addition to camping, visitors can experience "cloud hunting" at the ideal time from 4 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Although the road to the top of the mountain is steep and rocky along the trail, many tourists still like to come here to enjoy the picturesque natural scenery.
