3. Million-year-old ancient rock complex

The ancient rock field of Don Hyang village, De Ar commune, Mang Yang district, is located at the foot of the H'Chan hydroelectric plant dam on the Ayun river, bordering Bar Maih commune, Chu Se district. The rocky beach is about 45km from the center of Pleiku city, there is a concrete road going to it, but there are many steep and winding sections.
The rocky beach is about 3 hectares wide. A forest manager in this area said it is the dry season, so people can freely visit the rocky shore. However, visitors should avoid climbing the high, watery sections because it's slippery and easy to fall.
The stone bars here are hexagonal, standing upright at right angles, obliquely or parallel to the ground. The rock population here is under the strong impact of the Ayun River, so it is eroded, creating strange shapes. The disc rock beach has a structure similar to the disc rock rapids in Phu Yen.
Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is coordinating with Mang Yang district to survey and assess the current status of the ancient rock area and ecological environment and propose to include it in the district's tourism program.
