Cheap fruit made this way and sold for 4 times higher, just advertised it “flying” more than 4 quintals

This fruit is sold on the market very cheaply, but many people collect it this way to sell it at a very high price, sometimes “sold out”.

Ambarella is a tropical woody plant, with edible fruit containing fibrous seeds. Ambarella fruits can be eaten fresh, they have a thick, hard, crunchy pulp and a slightly sour-sweet taste.

In Indonesia and Malaysia, Ambarella is served with a thick, black sauce. It is also an ingredient in rojak, a vegetable salad in Malaysian, Singaporean and Indonesian cuisine. It can also be used to make juice or umbrellas.

In one time enjoying the dish O mai brain, Mr. Vu Hoang (Hoa Binh) found this snack quite good because it had a sour, sweet and sour taste. A few years back, he bought Ambarellas to try. It also took a few bad initial batches, he came up with the most satisfying recipe for making apricots.

Cheap fruit made this way and sold for 4 times higher, just advertised it “flying” more than 4 quintals

Just opened for sale for ten days, Mr. Hoang has sold more than 4 quintals of apricot shells.

“All the recipes are self-taught online and I figure out the proportions, not learn from anyone. O mai Ambarella or called jam is also fine, this dish is great to sip for the winter. Only those who have eaten it can see if this Ambarella is delicious or not,” he said.

For 5 years now, he has been selling this item for Tet holiday and is loved by many customers. Each year, the output of apricot shells sold has increased significantly. A few years ago, he only sold a few dozen pounds for the whole Tet holiday, last year he sold more than 2 quintals for the whole crop.

“This year, this item is really hot, I just posted it for sale in less than 10 days and sold out more than 4 quintals of apricot umbrellas. I am a wholesaler this year, so the number of sales is so much new. Until now, I don’t dare to rest my hands because of the large number of orders, I need to work hard to pay the orders,” he shared.

Ms. Hang (Hanoi) also said that O mai Ambarella has recently been “in love” with diners. I don’t directly do it, but import and sell. “I usually divide into bags weighing about half a pound with the selling price from 70,000 to 80,000 VND/bag. Most of the women order, everyone buys a few bags to save shipping costs and easy to buy,” she said.($1=25,000 VND)

The selling price of this item ranges from 140,000 -160,000 VND/kg.

According to research, this fruit is sold on the market for only over 10,000 VND/kg, the highest is about 40,000-50,000 VND/kg. But when making umbrella apricots, the price is up to 140,000 – 160,000 VND/kg, which is about 4 times higher than fresh fruit.

To make jam, the maker needs to choose large, beautiful Ambarellas, then peel, wash, and separate them into long pieces along the Ambarella. The next step is to soak the Ambarellas in clear lime water and rinse several times, draining.

Peeled ginger, smashed and minced, put Ambarellas in a bowl, add sugar and mix well. Soak Ambarellas with sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then, pour the Ambarellas and sugar water into the pot, turn on the heat and bring to a boil.

After the Ambarellas boil, reduce the heat, gently stir until the Ambarellas change color, add minced ginger, stir well and reduce the heat to the lowest level. Continue to slug with sugar water until the sugar runs out, then turn off the stove. Take the sauteed ginger apricot umbrella on a plate, let it cool and can be used.

Umbrella can be stored in the refrigerator for about 6 months, and left outside for only about 1 month. Therefore, consumers need to buy enough to ensure quality.
