Three days to visit all 7 provinces in the West

Duyen traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Long An, Dong Thap, An Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu and “reached the finish line” at Cape Ca Mau in more than 3 days.

Living and working in Ho Chi Minh City for a while, Le Ngoc Boi Duyen, a girl born in 1996 from Khanh Hoa, always cherished the desire to see the peaceful beauty of the southwestern provinces. At the end of April 2019, taking advantage of the holiday, Duyen and her boyfriend had a 3-day 4-night trip from Saigon to Dat Mui (Ca Mau), the southernmost point of the country.

Sharing with VnExpress about the opportunity to start this trip, Duyen said: “My boyfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship, we don’t have many holidays, but we both want to see each other and want to travel by motorbike. Ho Chi Minh City with me We were quite familiar with the West, so we decided to come to the West to get close.” Accordingly, Duyen’s lover will enter Ho Chi Minh City and then both depart.

Duyen spent more than a month to meticulously plan the trip, including the places to go, the distance, the travel time… and then follow the schedule, thus saving quite a bit of time. . There are also times when suddenly getting excited, the young couple … “breaks” differently from the available plan, making the journey always full of surprises.

At 5:00 p.m. on April 27, 2019, from Ho Chi Minh City, Duyen and her lover departed for Long An. “That day everyone was on holiday, so the street was quite crowded, the atmosphere was bustling. In the flow of people and cars, I felt like I was pulling together with relatives in the days leading to Tet,” Duyen said. Via Hong Ngu ferry (Dong Thap), the couple arrived in Tan Chau town (An Giang) at 11pm. At this time, it was late at night, the surrounding area had very few hotels, but fortunately, the people were enthusiastic to show the way, so the two were able to find a place to stay when the space gradually sank into the deep night.

During 3 days of traveling through the western provinces, the girl from Khanh Hoa and her boyfriend in turn visited the Jamiul Azhar Mosque, went to Chau Doc market, and discovered Huynh Dao and Hang pagodas in An Giang. Duyen is especially impressed with the immense, green melaleuca forest when passing through Tinh Bien. She took advantage of the experience of sailing (a kind of boat, canoe, small boat shaped like a diamond, made of wood and fitted with a motor) deep into the Tra Su Melaleuca forest. Because it is not the floating season, the water surface does not have many duckweed, which makes Duyen a bit regretful, but for her, the scene of the Melaleuca forest is “still as beautiful as a watercolor painting”, especially when climbing the high observation tower. 14 m.

On the way from An Giang to Can Tho, it rained heavily. In order not to delay the journey, both decided to wear raincoats. It was raining and slippery, but not familiar with the road, so it took more than 4 hours for Duyen and her boyfriend to reach Can Tho city.

In the Western capital, she had the opportunity to walk around Ninh Kieu wharf, with her boyfriend on a boat to explore Cai Rang floating market. “It seems that the boat driver loves us very much, so she broke the rule to take the two of us to explore more, so even though we came early, we didn’t go to the market until 9 o’clock,” Duyen said happily. The simplicity and simplicity of the people here made her “fall in love”. They always had a friendly smile and enthusiastic guidance whenever she and her boyfriend asked for directions, even though they were afraid of getting lost, they kept telling them over and over. For Duyen, the famous places in the West are not beautiful and extravagant in the city but have a wild and peaceful look, bringing people into nature.

Duyen and her boyfriend also went to Kittyd & Minnied Park in Hau Giang, visited Bat Pagoda and Chen Kieu Pagoda in Soc Trang, went to Xiem Can Pagoda, Ca Ong Temple and Wind Power in Bac Lieu… Ca Mau Cape – the southernmost point The country also marks the last leg of the couple’s journey to the West. At 12:30 pm, the young couple successfully set foot in Dat Mui and took a photo with the symbol of a boat facing the sea placed here.

“It’s great to have a companion to come here. The joy and excitement of youth when conquering the last point of the country really makes me remember forever”, Duyen said. She also expressed her hope that every young person alive will experience a wonderful youth, be able to walk, see and explore this vast world.
