52km north of Cao Bang city, Pac Bo special national relic is located in Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province. Coming to this place, visitors not only feel the historical imprints “transmitted by fire” over generations but also have the opportunity to experience the fresh air of the mountainous region.

Coming to Pac Bo, visitors can also shop for local products at the stalls of indigenous people. The products with rich flavor of Cao Bang, such as: rice cakes, sli, shiitake mushrooms, dong vermicelli, dried bamboo shoots, wild vegetables … Local agricultural products not only serve the needs of customers. visit but also improve the material life of people in the region, both preserving and promoting tourism and developing socio-economic for the locality.

Pac Bo tourist area attracts quite a lot of tourists, especially in the summer. However, service infrastructure is still incomplete in many aspects. The guesthouse of the District People’s Committee and some private motels, homestay … can serve, but the majority of visitors who visit during the day have no intention of staying, often back to Cao Bang city for more than 40 km. Besides, tourism products and services are still poor, lack of creativity … In the trend of tourism today, what tourists need when coming to a tourist destination is the companionship and experience of life. and the local people, unfortunately Pac Bo did not really have that.

Ms. Pham Thu Quynh, a tourist from Hanoi, felt: “Here we can only feel the natural landscape, historical value of the destination, but with additional service values. Here, I still see a lot of things that need more investment. For example, there are some folk games, basic food services here, but there is no service to keep visitors in order to increase the experience. We hope in the future there will be additional and more attractive services to attract tourists. ”

In 2020, the Pac Bo National Monuments Management Board has welcomed more than 118,000 tourists.

In the Tourism Development Strategy of Cao Bang Province, Pac Bo Tourist Area is also oriented to become a key tourist destination. In recent years, the relic management board has also coordinated with the local authorities to propagate and mobilize more than 100 households in the region to participate in protecting and promoting the relic’s value. 

At this point, community based tourism and experience tourism should also be paid more attention and invested in creating a highlight, attracting tourists to come and stay with Pac Bo. A number of programs have been being built such as guiding people in the region to plant seedlings and endemic agricultural products to serve in the relic; Establishing cultural teams in the villages for community cultural exchanges or setting up “friendly” motels, tourism, community cultural houses … All of them use the local people in the area. main subject.
