Ninh Binh has taken decisive steps to strengthen its squad ahead of the 2026/27 season by signing four notable players from the V.League. After an impressive debut season back in the top tier of Vietnamese football, where they secured third place in the V.League and reached the quarter-finals of the National Cup, the team is looking to build on this success.
The club's management, led by President Bầu Thụy, is determined to elevate Ninh Binh's ambitions and has appointed coach Chu Dinh Nghiem to guide the team through this transition. The focus is on establishing a solid foundation with a blend of experienced and new talent.
Among the key signings is defender Ho Tan Tai, who joins from Becamex Binh Duong on a three-season contract. His versatility allows him to play both as a right-back and a center-back, providing valuable depth to the squad.
In addition to local talent, Ninh Binh has also secured three foreign players who are well-known in the V.League. These include center-back Lucas Turci from PVF-CAND, midfielder Marciel from HAGL, and forward Lucao from Viettel. Lucas Turci, standing at 1.92 meters, is praised for his modern defensive skills and ability to initiate attacks from the back. Marciel, a Brazilian midfielder, is recognized for his tactical awareness and technical ability, making him a crucial addition to the midfield. Meanwhile, Lucao, a former top scorer in the V.League, continues to impress despite being 35 years old, showcasing his scoring prowess and experience.
With these strategic signings, Ninh Binh is poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming season, aiming for higher achievements in both the league and cup competitions.
