Phạm Nhật Quân Anh Takes Over as CEO of VinFast Global

Billionaire Phạm Nhật Vượng has officially passed the torch as the CEO of VinFast Global to Phạm Nhật Quân Anh. This significant leadership transition was revealed on September 12, 2023, during a formal announcement by VinFast and GSM.

Phạm Nhật Quân Anh, who previously held the position of Chairman of VinFast Global, will now also serve as the CEO, taking over from Phạm Nhật Vượng. In addition to his new role, Quân Anh will continue as the Chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam, thereby assuming comprehensive responsibility for the operations of the automotive company.

Quân Anh, born in 1993 and a graduate of Singapore Management University, has held various leadership roles within VinFast and its parent company, Vingroup, prior to his appointment as Chairman in May 2023. He is also the CEO of VinMetal, a steel manufacturing company within the Vingroup ecosystem.

Upon his appointment, Quân Anh expressed confidence in VinFast's potential to participate in the global transition to green mobility. He committed to advancing the company's products and services across various markets.

In conjunction with Quân Anh's new role, GSM announced changes in its leadership as well. Nguyễn Quốc Tuấn has been appointed as the new Chairman of GSM Global, replacing Phạm Thu Hương, while Phạm Nhật Minh Hoàng will take over as the CEO of GSM Global.

VinFast currently operates in 16 countries, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, as well as markets in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. The company manufactures electric cars and motorcycles in four factories located in Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. Meanwhile, GSM, under the Green SM brand, is active in seven countries and plans to expand into at least three new markets this year, aiming to become a publicly traded company on international stock exchanges.
