On September 10, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam announced a significant increase in fuel prices during the scheduled price adjustment period. The decision was made by the Ministry of Finance in conjunction with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, utilizing the Price Stabilization Fund to manage the changes.

The adjustments are as follows:

  • E5 RON92 gasoline: capped at 23,744 VND/liter, an increase of 1,258 VND/liter compared to the previous maximum price.
  • E10 RON95-III gasoline: capped at 24,239 VND/liter, up by 965 VND/liter.
  • 0.05S diesel: capped at 28,485 VND/liter, an increase of 742 VND/liter.
  • 180CST 3.5S mazut: capped at 18,157 VND/kg, up by 516 VND/kg.

In comparison, the prices before the adjustment on September 3, 2026, were:

  • E5 RON92: 22,486 VND/liter
  • E10 RON95-III: 23,274 VND/liter
  • 0.05S diesel: 27,743 VND/liter
  • 180CST 3.5S mazut: 17,641 VND/kg

This price increase reflects ongoing fluctuations in the global oil market, which have been impacting domestic pricing structures. The government continues to monitor the situation closely to ensure stability in the fuel market and mitigate the effects on consumers.
