Capella Hanoi: Vietnam's Only Hotel in World's Top 100 for 2026

Capella Hanoi, a hotel developed by Sun Group, has made history by becoming the only hotel from Vietnam to be ranked in the Top 100 Hotels in the World for 2026, according to The World’s 50 Best Hotels. The hotel is positioned at number 81 in the prestigious list, showcasing Vietnam's growing prominence in the global hospitality industry.

Located in the heart of Hanoi, Capella Hanoi features just 47 rooms, all designed by renowned architect Bill Bensley. The design draws inspiration from the world of opera and the artistic flair of the 1920s, creating a lavish atmosphere reminiscent of an opera house. Each room tells its own unique story, inspired by historical opera characters, and incorporates elements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.

In addition to its exquisite accommodations, Capella Hanoi boasts a rich collection of over 1,000 theatrical artifacts, enhancing the cultural experience for guests. Notably, the hotel’s restaurant, Hibana by Koki, has maintained a Michelin star for two consecutive years, further solidifying its reputation for exceptional dining.

The hotel’s bar, The Hudson Rooms, also received recognition, ranking 46th in the list of Asia's 50 Best Bars in 2026. This underscores the establishment's commitment to providing not only luxurious accommodations but also top-tier culinary and entertainment experiences.

The announcement of the Top 50 Hotels in the World for 2026 will take place on September 15 in Paris, France. The World’s 50 Best Hotels awards are regarded as a benchmark for excellence in the global hospitality sector, with a voting process that involves a panel of independent experts who evaluate hotels based on their personal experiences.

Capella Hanoi's inclusion in this esteemed list marks a significant milestone for Vietnam's tourism sector, highlighting the country's potential as a luxury travel destination on the international stage.
