Vietnamese actor Mạc Văn Khoa has recently reacted to rumors circulating about his alleged bankruptcy amounting to 100 billion VND. The actor, known for his comedic roles, took to his social media to express his astonishment at being implicated in such unfounded claims while he was simply enjoying a leisurely day fishing.
In his post, Mạc Văn Khoa questioned the credibility of the information being shared online, stating, "What is this? I’m out fishing and suddenly I’m rumored to be bankrupt! 100 billion, no less! I understand that in this era, posting anything can generate interaction and income, but before posting about someone, it should be accurate! If you can’t verify the information, then maybe social media isn’t the right place for you!" His candid response quickly garnered attention from his followers and the media.
Mạc Văn Khoa, born in 1992 in Hải Dương (now Hải Phòng), is a well-known comedian and actor in Vietnam, beloved for his natural acting style and humorous expressions. He gained widespread recognition after participating in the comedy competition show "Cười Xuyên Việt," where he finished as the runner-up in 2015. Since then, he has appeared in several successful films, including "Lật Mặt 4: Nhà Có Khách," "30 Chưa Phải Tết," and "Siêu Lừa Gặp Siêu Lầy." Recently, however, he has not been as visible on screen.
Despite the rumors, Mạc Văn Khoa enjoys a stable family life with his wife, Thảo Vy, and their daughter. In June 2026, they took a family vacation in Hạ Long with relatives. The couple also celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary with heartfelt moments shared on social media. At just over 30 years old, Mạc Văn Khoa continues to balance his artistic career with running a successful chain of bun dau (Vietnamese fried tofu with vermicelli) restaurants. He has indicated that this year has brought many changes, as he explores more serious roles that are less comedic. Mạc Văn Khoa expressed his desire to slow down and pursue a long-lasting career in film.
