This morning, the Ministry of Education and Training released the results of the retake exam for high school graduation at Tuyen Quang Specialized School. Among the 326 students who participated, none scored a perfect 10 in Mathematics. The average score for the subject was 6.24, with 42 students achieving scores of 8 or higher, while 58 students scored below average.

The highest score in Mathematics was 9.5, and the distribution of scores showed that the Mathematics specialized class had the highest average score of 7.38. This was followed by the Chemistry class with an average of 7.04, the Computer Science class at 6.94, and the Physics class at 6.78. The History class had the lowest average score of 4.83.

The retake exam took place following an investigation into irregularities during the initial exam held on June 11-12, where it was discovered that 299 out of 328 students had scored 9 or higher in Mathematics. The investigation revealed collusion between parents, students, and teachers. To address the issue and protect the rights of the students, the Ministry decided to allow this group to retake the exam on August 14-15.

In addition to Mathematics, the required subject Vietnamese Literature was also part of the retake, and nearly 200 students opted to take the elective English exam, making it the most popular choice. Following that were Physics with 140 students, and both Chemistry and History with 113 students each. Biology and Geography had nearly 40 students choosing those subjects.

The Ministry assessed that the retake exam was conducted safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations. Many teachers noted that the difficulty and structure of the exam were comparable to those of the original test.

Students wishing to request a review of their scores can submit their applications until August 23, and results will be certified by August 21. Universities will consider the preferences entered by students in the Ministry's system along with the announced admission thresholds for further selections.
