Vietnam has confirmed its opponents for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026, being placed in Group B alongside Thailand,

The ASEAN Police Golf Tournament 2026 wrapped up on August 2, 2026, after three days of competition held in Lam Dong, Vietnam. This event was not just a sporting contest but also a significant diplomatic activity aimed at strengthening cooperation and friendship among law enforcement agencies from various nations, while promoting the image of Vietnam to the international community.
Participating in the tournament were 14 countries and territories, with a total of 52 official athletes and 20 delegation members from nations including Vietnam, Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Norway, the Philippines, Singapore, and others. The event created a vibrant and meaningful atmosphere for sports exchange.
The tournament featured 14 teams competing in a team format, which was part of the broader Sports Festival 2026. The competition was structured to calculate the total Stableford points of the three best-performing members from each team over two days of play. In the end, the Royal Malaysian Police took home the first prize, followed by the Royal Thai Police in second place, and the Lao Police in third. The Best Style award was given to the Vietnam People's Public Security team.
The success of this tournament once again highlighted Vietnam's capability to organize international sporting events. The tournament was overseen by the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association in collaboration with various sponsors. The organizing committee ensured meticulous preparation in areas such as technical operations, logistics, and hospitality, providing all necessary conditions for accommodation, transport, and interactions for international delegations.
The spirit of responsibility, hospitality, and goodwill from the host country left a positive impression on international friends. Representatives from the ASEAN police delegations and international guests expressed their appreciation for Vietnam's preparation and organization. Many attendees praised the professionalism in managing the event, from reception and accommodation arrangements to transportation, security, healthcare, and competition management. Delegation leaders also acknowledged the modern facilities and quality golf courses, as well as the close cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association, the Vietnam Golf Association, and other partners. According to feedback from many representatives, the tournament was organized to a regional standard, providing excellent experiences that exceeded expectations. This allowed international friends to gain a better understanding of a peaceful, stable, safe, and developing Vietnam.
