Foxconn, Apple's largest assembly partner, has entered a critical phase in the production of the iPhone 18 Pro, according to China Securities News. The company has initiated a significant recruitment drive to meet the anticipated demand for the new device, which is expected to be launched in the fall of this year.

To attract workers, Foxconn has reportedly increased hourly wages, adjusted base salaries, and introduced bonuses for returning employees. This annual recruitment surge is a common practice for Foxconn as it prepares for the high production demands associated with each new iPhone release.

In addition to production updates, various leaks have hinted at potential upgrades for the iPhone 18 Pro. According to MacRumors, the device may feature a smaller Dynamic Island, with the display cutout possibly shrinking from approximately 20.76mm to 13.49mm, thereby enhancing the screen-to-body ratio. However, Apple has yet to confirm these details.

For the iPhone 18 Pro Max, rumors suggest that it will have a thickness of about 9mm and weigh around 240g, slightly more than its predecessor. Some analysts speculate that this change could be due to a larger battery and a new vapor chamber cooling system.

Moreover, supply chain analysts predict that Apple will equip the iPhone 18 Pro models with the A20 Pro processor, manufactured using TSMC's 2nm process. If accurate, this new chip is expected to enhance both performance and energy efficiency compared to the current generation.

As of now, Apple has not officially announced any details regarding the iPhone 18 series. Following its annual tradition, the company is likely to unveil the new iPhone generation around September.
