Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) has officially declared a cash dividend of 10% for its shareholders, which will take effect on July 30, 2026. This means that for every share held, shareholders will receive 1,000 VND. With nearly 1.47 billion shares outstanding, the total dividend payout is expected to be around 1.5 trillion VND.
The ex-dividend date is set for July 29, 2026, and the dividend payment is anticipated to be made on August 6, 2026. During the recent annual general meeting held in 2026, the company also approved a plan to distribute a total cash dividend of 20% for the year 2025, indicating that another 10% cash dividend is likely to follow later this year.
In terms of business performance, MWG recently reported its revenue for the first half of 2026, which reached 95.305 trillion VND, reflecting a significant increase of over 29% compared to the same period last year. This figure represents approximately 52% of the company's annual revenue target of 185 trillion VND.
The main contributors to this revenue growth were the electronics and mobile phone sectors, with the Mobile World Investment Corporation's subsidiaries, including The Gioi Di Dong, Dien May Xanh, TopZone, and Erablue, generating nearly 65.1 trillion VND in the first half of the year, a 31% increase year-on-year. Online sales alone accounted for over 7 trillion VND, making up about 11% of total revenue from these sectors.
Notably, the TopZone chain reported the best performance, with Apple product sales surging by approximately 50% year-on-year, while other product categories experienced growth ranging from 15% to 60%.
In the food retail sector, Bách Hóa Xanh recorded cumulative revenue of 28.3 trillion VND over six months, marking a 25% increase compared to the previous year. In the second quarter alone, revenue rose by over 31%, driven by strong sales in fresh food and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), both of which maintained double-digit growth.
On the stock market, as of July 21, MWG shares increased by nearly 1%, reaching 75,900 VND per share, with a trading volume of approximately 2.9 million shares.
