According to Joshua, Kaylee was involved in a serious car accident early Tuesday morning in Maryland. He revealed that officials contacted him shortly after the incident to inform him that her heart had stopped on the way to the hospital. In a deeply emotional moment, he expressed his grief and the shock of having to travel from Texas to claim his daughter's body.

Kaylee Hottle, who hailed from Atlanta, Georgia, was part of a multi-generational deaf family. She began her career at the age of 9, appearing in commercials, including a public service announcement for the video messaging app Glide, which is popular among the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

Her breakout role came in 2021 when she portrayed Jia, a teenager who communicates with King Kong through sign language, in 'Godzilla vs. Kong'.
