The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid made its debut in Vietnam on July 17, 2023, at a major shopping center in Hanoi. This new generation of the large SUV features a hybrid powertrain and is set to officially launch in the Vietnamese market in the latter half of 2026. The showcased model is the premium hybrid version, which is expected to be priced below 2 billion VND and will be assembled locally.

In addition to the hybrid variant, Hyundai will also offer a gasoline version, although details about it have yet to be revealed. The hybrid model is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine combined with two electric motors, generating a total output of 329 horsepower and 459 Nm of torque. It features a 6-speed automatic transmission and offers options for either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The electric motors are powered by a 1.65 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The new Palisade is larger than its predecessor, with an increase in length by 65-70 mm, reaching 5,065 mm, and a wheelbase extended by 70 mm to 2,970 mm. The exterior design of the Palisade Hybrid is characterized by sharp, angular lines, with a prominent grille and LED daytime running lights arranged in five stacked strips on each side. The rear lights follow a similar design language.

Inside, the Palisade Hybrid features a more rounded design with a 12.3-inch dual display that integrates the infotainment system and instrument cluster, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Detailed specifications and features of the new Palisade will be officially announced by Hyundai Thanh Cong on the launch day, with plans for the new model to be available for delivery in October. The starting price is projected to be between 1.5 billion and 1.7 billion VND, making it a competitive option in the large SUV segment in Vietnam, where it will compete with models like the Volkswagen Teramont and VinFast VF 9.
