Ho Chi Minh City Launches AI Platform to Connect Investors

Ho Chi Minh City has officially launched an AI-based platform known as HCMCInvest, which aims to connect investors with around 250 projects across various sectors. This platform was unveiled by the city’s People's Committee and is currently in its trial phase.

The HCMCInvest platform is developed to provide real-time information about the investment environment, development orientations, priority sectors, and investment opportunities within the city. Utilizing AI technology and digital data, the platform is designed to facilitate information searches, connect investors, analyze demand, monitor interest levels, and improve interaction efficiency between local authorities and both domestic and foreign investors.

Currently, HCMCInvest showcases approximately 250 projects across nine sectors that the city is actively seeking investment for. A unique feature of this platform is the design of five different dashboard models tailored for various operational needs. These include a standard dashboard for operators, a dedicated dashboard for city leaders to manage and collect investor feedback, a dashboard for the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) to coordinate activities, a project owner dashboard for information updates, and an investor dashboard for real-time project tracking.

The main interface of HCMCInvest was developed under the guidance of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Various specialized agencies, including ITPC, will manage and coordinate its operations. The development and operational responsibilities have been assigned to Arobid Technology Company. Through HCMCInvest, Ho Chi Minh City aims to modernize its investment promotion methods, making them transparent, data-driven, and measurable.

During the launch event, Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, expressed that instead of having investors manually seek out information from government agencies, HCMCInvest will serve as a comprehensive platform to present the investment environment, thus reducing the time required for investors. This initiative is also expected to save resources for the city in organizing investment promotion events.

Duoc emphasized the importance of feedback from investors and businesses during the trial phase to refine the platform. He stated, "I hope we will have a complete digital infrastructure that serves investors and the public, fostering a transparent and modern investment environment for development."

Trần Văn Chín, Chairman of Arobid Technology Company, highlighted that one of the main objectives in developing HCMCInvest is to effectively and responsibly utilize AI. The AI component will optimize and intelligently facilitate transactions without making decisions on behalf of government agencies or investors. To ensure accuracy, all input data for the AI will be standardized from the outset based on the criteria of being adequate, correct, clean, and live, ensuring that information and algorithms are implemented healthily.

Arobid is committed to measuring the platform's effectiveness to improve and evaluate its performance. They will continuously collect and analyze information regarding interested countries, the number of investors monitoring and registering for project updates, specific inquiries, challenges faced, and investment plans. Chín noted, "When all these data points are collected and digitized, investor engagement will significantly improve compared to traditional promotion methods." Additionally, Arobid collaborates with S&P Global, a leading multinational firm specializing in data, financial analysis, and credit ratings, to better understand the preferences and needs of foreign investors, thereby enhancing HCMCInvest's ability to attract capital effectively.
