A 28-year-old tourist tragically lost his life after being attacked by a crocodile at a beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on June 26. According to reports from ABC News, the incident happened around 6 PM local time in front of the Marriott Puerto Vallarta resort.

The victim, identified as Irving Mauricio from Mexico City, was enjoying the beach when he was suddenly attacked by the crocodile and pulled into the ocean. Emergency services launched a search and rescue operation immediately after the incident, and by the morning of June 27, Mauricio's body was recovered approximately 300 meters from the shore.

In the wake of this tragic event, local authorities have urged the public to heed warning signs and avoid swimming in areas known to harbor wildlife, particularly near river mouths and mangrove forests.
