FF Unveils Faber Wheel-Legged Robot and New Futurist Model Pricing

Faraday Future (FF) took the stage at the Automate robotics and automation show in Chicago on June 23, unveiling its new Futurist humanoid robot and the FF Faber, touted as the first industrial-grade EAI wheeled-legged robot series in the U.S. This launch marks the second phase of FF's FF EAI Robot World initiative, which aims to establish a comprehensive ecosystem of robots.

The Faber series includes three variants: the high-spec Faber U, the Faber T designed for power inspection and data center operations, and the Faber S, which features the largest arm span. The Faber S is set to debut on June 30 at the ISTE Live 26 conference. This series is designed to bridge the gap between traditional fixed robotic arms and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), targeting applications such as industrial loading and unloading, logistics transfer, and inspection.

In addition to the Faber series, FF announced that its new full-size humanoid robot, the Futurist, will be priced at $89,900, which includes a $10,000 enhanced Skills package. The Futurist stands approximately 173 centimeters tall and weighs 55 kilograms, featuring 31 degrees of freedom and a dual-battery system with a capacity of 1,152Wh, providing up to six hours of runtime. Notably, it is the first hardware product in the U.S. to support NVIDIA's Sonic whole-body motion control system natively.

Jia Yueting, FF's Founder and Global CEO, emphasized that the launch of the Faber series completes the company's product layout for its "full-form EAI robot world." He also provided a preview of FF's EAI robot industrial ecosystem strategy, which is expected to be formally launched in about six months. This ecosystem will focus on B2B applications, including factory production assistance, warehousing and logistics, and campus inspections.

On the delivery front, FF projects that robot unit shipments will exceed 100 in June, positioning the company to surpass its earlier target of 220 units for the first half of the year.
