NDO - Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Phan Van Mai has pledged to continue stepping up the administrative reform effort in 2022 so as to meet the needs of the people and enterprises.

He told a conference on February 18 that administrative reform was still being undertaken in an aggressive and synchronous manner throughout 2021 despite the severe impacts of COVID-19.

Mai added that the city promptly changed its working method to fight both the pandemic and avoid disruptions of public services.

In order to improve the quality of administrative reform, Mai asked the leaders of departments, agencies, districts and Thu Duc City to take aggressive actions in implementing administrative reforms.

He informed that the city will strive to adopt a scheme on specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Thu Duc City and review the implementation of National Assembly resolutions on the specific mechanisms and policies for Ho Chi Minh City.

According to a report by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Office, the city received and handled over 17 million dossiers of administrative procedures over the past year, with 99.81% processed on schedule.
