Military youth joins blood drive to fight pandemic

Over 1,000 blood units are expected to be collected at the event, contributing to efforts amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic.   

NDO – Over 1,200 officers, soldiers, and youth union members from a range of military units joined a voluntary blood donation programme held in Hanoi August 7.


The event, directed by the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People's Army, was jointly organised by the Army Youth Committee, the Air Defence-Air Force, Army Corps No.2, the Central Military Hospital 108, and the Military Medical Hospital 103

The programme was implemented in accordance with regulations on COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, and took place at two locations.

As many as 586 and 536 people registered to donate blood at the Military School under Army Corps No.2 and the Engineering School under the Air Defence-Air Force, respectively.

Over 1,000 blood units are expected to be collected at the event, contributing to efforts amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic.
