Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, he spent seven years in Japan, at last serving as part of the executive management for Bosch’s Two-Wheeler & Powersports division with global responsibility for marketing, business strategy, and product management.
“Vietnam is not a new country to me as I have worked closely with its Two-Wheeler & Powersports team during the last years. It is great to be here in Vietnam, along with extended responsibility where I can continue to build on the strong network and foundation that Bosch has established in this country. Together with the team, I am targeting to expand the business with products and solutions which are invented for life,” said Dominik Meichle. “It is an honor for me to build on the achievements of my predecessor, Guru, and the local team who successfully grew our business in Vietnam and prepared the organization to become the main software hub for Bosch globally.”
Guru Mallikarjuna, who has been appointed as Bosch Vietnam’s managing director since 2017, will assume a dual role of vice president of the Powertrains Solutions division of Bosch Global Software Technologies in India and vice president of customer engineering, and electronic controls business in the Asia Pacific for the company’s Powertrain Solutions division starting July 1, 2022.
Guru Mallikarjuna, said: “I strongly believe that Vietnam is built on the strength of its people. This is especially true for Bosch in Vietnam. My sincere thanks go to the associates who were there with me throughout this journey, making Bosch Vietnam the successful company that it is today. As proud as I am of what we have achieved, there is so much more to be accomplished and I know the associates will continue to excel under Dominik’s leadership.”
In his nine-year tenure at Bosch in Vietnam, Guru has built a remarkable development for the company.
Bosch now employs approximately 5,000 associates (as of April 2022) in Vietnam and is increasingly active in diversified businesses. Bosch Vietnam currently has offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Dong Nai. Bosch operates two research and development centers and a Powertrain Solutions plant in Dong Nai – the biggest continuously variable transmission (CVT) pushbelt production plant of Bosch Group globally.
