Herbalife Vietnam launches new Casa Herbalife Program in Nghe An

Mr. Vu Van Thang, General Manager for Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia, said, “The opening of a new Casa Herbalife Program is another indication of our strong commitment to long-term community support, which is also aligned with Herbalife Nutrition Foundation’s mission to improving lives and providing aid to communities around the world. Through this program, we will join hands with Nghe An Social Activity Center to provide daily nutritious meals to needy children at this center and encourage them to exercise regularly to live healthier lives”.

Mr. Le Trung Thuc, Director of Nghe An Social Activity Center, said, “I am very excited that Herbalife Vietnam has confirmed its nutritional support for 78 underprivileged children at our center through the Casa Herbalife Vietnam Program. This timely support is very valuable for our children, helping them develop better physically thanks to improved nutrition. We pledge to work closely with Herbalife Vietnam to deploy the program following the set goals of improving lives of the children through better nutrition and healthy active lifestyles”.

Earlier, in January 2022, Herbalife Vietnam announced the renewal of grants for four current Casa Herbalife Programs for the 2021-2022 period. Specifically, the grants include VND226 million for Xa Dan Secondary School (over 500 pupils), VND680 million for Dong Tam Social Protection Center (112 children), VND453 million for Huong Duong Orphanage (32 children), and VND794 million for WOCA (152 children).

Ms. Doan Le Phong, Vice President of Women’s Charity Association of HCMC (WOCA), said, “On behalf of more than 152 children from seven shelters under WOCA, I would like to express my deep gratitude to Herbalife Vietnam for continuing to support the Casa Herbalife Vietnam Program to help improve the quality of daily meals for the children. Especially when our shelters are facing many difficulties right now due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the support from Casa Herbalife Vietnam Program is extremely timely and valuable, helping the children to have nutritious meals to stay healthy and achieve good study results as well."

Mr. Pham Van Hoan, Principal of Xa Dan School, said, “Since receiving the Program's support, the children's physical and mental health have improved thanks to eating healthier and developing regular exercise habits. Their study results are also better. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the entire Board of Directors, employees, and independent members of Herbalife Vietnam for their cooperation in bringing about this meaningful program”.

Launched in 2013, the Casa Herbalife Vietnam program has helped about 1,000 needy children have access to healthy nutrition on a daily basis with total grants of over VND14 billion since then. In 2019, Herbalife Vietnam also introduced the Star Program to its Casa Herbalife Nutrition centers to help these children have better knowledge of healthy food and building habits of doing regular exercise.

“The strong support and generous contributions from both our members and employees are key to the continuation and expansion of our Casa Herbalife program, bringing valuable and timely support to needy children in a sustainable manner. Apart from financial support, these donors are also caregivers who are always willing to spend time visiting, talking, doing exercise and playing sports with these children to help them grow healthier, both physically and mentally”, said Mr. Vu Van Thang, General Manager for Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia.
