Cam Son Lake
Cam Son Lake is nearly 30 km long, 7 km wide at its widest place and 200 m at its narrowest. The water surface area is 2,600 ha in the dry season. In the rainy season, the water level can rise up to 3,000 hectares. The lake water is clear blue with many large and small islands planted with litchi. Many tourists have compared Cam Son as “Ha Long Bay on land” of Bac Giang.

Duong said that she was born and raised with lychee trees, but she was still surprised when she saw the fruit-laden litchi gardens in Tan Son commune. “Thousands of green litchi trees highlighting red fruits planted in layers, surrounded by villages and hills will make you go from surprise to delight,” Duong said.
One of the litchi gardens suggested by Thuy Duong is Chiu Ben because the fruit here is especially big and wrong. “The lychee is on the branches, swooping down to the ground. The gardener has to support the branches with sticks to raise the beams,” Duong said. The owner of the garden also has an arched lychee garden for visitors to take pictures. The best time to take pictures with the lychee garden, according to Duong, is dawn, bright red ripe litchi stands out against the background of green leaves and under the sun.

Some lychee gardens (on lychee island and in Tan Son commune) charge an entrance fee of 30,000 VND per person. A bunch of cloth about three kilograms is sold for 30,000 VND. “Customers should buy cloth to take home, it will be more profitable,” Duong said.
Tan Son Fabric Market
If you want to “hunt” the moment when the lychee market is busy, visitors must be present from 5am, at the same time people in the area pick lychees at night and then take them to the market. Each person usually carries a basket of cloth weighing 150-200 kg, waiting to meet the merchant and agree to buy and sell. In about 2-3 hours, the market is very crowded with people, so the whole road leading to the market is often congested and congested. “The whole road is bright red with a ripe lychee color,” Duong said. The fabric market is wholesale and not retail, so it will be more difficult for retail customers to buy than at the gardens.
In addition, visitors can visit Bau Tien eco-tourism area, belonging to Dong Dao Tourism Cooperative, Dong Giao village, Quy Son commune. Although not 100% complete, there are basic amenities such as stilts house, dining area, water games such as boating, duck riding, cycling. There is a lychee garden in the eco-zone, but litchi here has been harvested since early summer. Up to now, there are still many fruits on the tree, but only for tourists to eat, not to sell. Admission is currently free.
From Hanoi, visitors go through Thanh Tri Bridge, National Highway 1A to Bac Giang. Thuy Duong suggests that you can take photos of the lychee garden in one day, but if you want to visit Tan Son lychee market, a two-day and one-night trip is suitable. The cost for the trip is about 1-1.5 million VND.
