Loc An Beach, in Loc An commune, Dat Do district, about 50 km from Vung Tau city center, has recently attracted much tourist attention and love with its deserted and romantic scenery.

Mrs. May Nguyen, a native, guides tourists to Loc An beach along National Highway 51B, turns onto the path to Long Hai town, and then passes Minh Dam mountain. Loc An stone embankment and Loc An public beach are close, about 300 meters from the national highway. The road to the stone embankment is sandy; go slowly to avoid the car slipping.

The road from Long Hai to Loc An will go through the Phuoc Hai market. On the first days of the year, visitors will admire the pink color of cherry blossoms blooming on both sides of the road. According to Pham Tuy Son, the proprietor of the Vuon Dua restaurant close to the Loc An stone dam, the 500-meter-long public beach is just next to the stone embankment, running from the mainland to the sea. The wall, built about two years ago, is a favorite fishing spot for locals. After visitors posted the pictures taken at the stone barrier on social networks at the end of April, this place began to attract many tourists. The road is vast; there are rock blocks on both sides, and you can ride a motorbike or a car.

Loc An beach is blue and airtight; the sand is flat and clean; it is also an ideal place for tourists to take a walk and watch the sunrise and sunset. Guests can also bring their tents and campsites to camp and organize a barbecue for free.

In addition to the stone embankment, visitors can travel along the national highway for about 1 km to reach Loc An Wharf, the meeting point of the Ho Chi Minh trail on the sea. According to the portal report of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Ben Loc An had entered the annals of unnumbered ships by serving as the destination for three significant strategic shipments containing more than 100 tons of weapons delivered to the southern revolutionary forces during the resistance war against the US.

Going through the harbor, Loc An fishing port, about 1.5 km from the beach, is also a check-in place with spearhead boats and colorful circular fishing boats of local people. However, because this is a fishing village, there is a lot of household garbage of the people, causing odor and loss of aesthetics when taking photos.

"The seascape here is simple and wild. Along the seashore in many places, there are still protective forests and mainly fishing villages with peaceful scenery", Mr. Tran Viet Duong, who visited Loc An stone barrier on April 28 when cycling from Hanoi to Long An, said.

Coming to Loc An, visitors can enjoy local dishes such as mudskipper cooked with tamarind, Loc An fish salad, or sole wine distilled by Loc An people. In addition, visitors can ask about the location of longan gardens in residential areas about 1 km from the beach to visit or buy as gifts. Grinding tubers is a specialty of Dat Do district, an ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine, which people process into many dishes such as grated root porridge and stewed root soup with bones.

Because it is entirely separate from the residential area, Loc An Beach is relatively quiet and unspoiled, and there are few tourist services suitable for those who like to be close to nature. Near the beach are a few motels and hotels for tourists; prices range from 300,000 to 500. 000 VND a night.
