Although Nguyen Khanh Huyen’s trip to the highlands was short, it was enough for her to leave her stress behind.

Nguyen Khanh Huyen, 25 years old, lives in Hanoi and has just had a weekend trip to Sapa. Huyen works as a freelancer, but the job is stressful. Therefore, to relieve stress, the young girl decided to pack her backpack and go.

“My job requires creativity. So I decided to go to relax to balance and regenerate energy,” the young female tourist shared. Her main purpose this time is to “hunt” the sunset on O Quy Ho pass – one of the four famous peaks in Vietnam.

Huyen departed from Hanoi at 10 pm the previous day, arriving in Sapa at 5:30 am the next morning. She took a taxi back to the homestay to store her things and sleep again to regain strength. At 9am, Huyen begins her journey of discovery.

The first destination is the town center, wandering in the square and then visiting the stone church. After lunch, at 15:30, Huyen went to O Quy Ho pass, a lonely tree to watch the sunset. “The day I arrived, the sunset was very beautiful. I just stood there and waited until the sun was completely gone before coming back. One note is to dress warmly when coming here, because of the high wind.” At 18:20, Huyen returned to the center, wandered for a while, then had dinner, rested and waited for the car to leave to return to Hanoi.

Huyen went to Sa Pa with a friend and this is the fifth time she has set foot in this place. Huyen loves Sapa’s weather, cool during the day, chilly at night. The town center has many places to eat and drink, and there are also many beautiful places around. Those are also the reasons why she decided to go over 300 km to Sa Pa to relieve stress, instead of going to nearby places in the suburbs of Hanoi.

Sharing about the journey of one day and one night, she said she did not feel tired. “Perhaps I’ve been here many times so I feel familiar. The places I want to go are also close together, only O Quy Ho pass is far away, driving by myself makes it a bit more tiring. But in return, I have moments. Peacefully watch the sunset here and bring back a lot of beautiful, chill, stress-reducing photos,” Huyen said.

Huyen and you choose a bus to pick up and drop off near your house in Hanoi. In Sa Pa, she asked the receptionist at the homestay to rent a motorbike to help her take the initiative in moving. When Huyen arrived, the weather was nice, not raining and not too cold, so it was convenient for motorbikes.

The place she lives in has a vintage-style design. Huyen likes it very much because it suits her taste. “This place is for visitors to manage themselves, lock the gate with QR code, lock the room with a code. Homestay has a small kitchen for guests to buy food for themselves,” she said.

Huyen said her trip this time was quick because she didn’t have much time and wanted to choose a favorite place to go. With regular schedules, the most suitable time to visit this place is 5 days and 4 nights. However, if anyone has little time, they can refer to her trip schedule this time to get experience.
