‘Cherry-like apricot’ blossoms begin to tint Da Lat pink as New Year nears

NDO – The Lang Biang plateau is now in its cold and sunny season. The weather helps cherry-like apricot trees in the valley begin to blossom, covering the hillsides at the foot of Lang Biang mountain, Lac Duong district in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
This area is about 20km from the centre of Da Lat, but many couples come here to enjoy the flowers.
In recent years, a lot of cherry-like apricot trees have been planted in many areas of the city such as around Xuan Huong Lake, Tuyen Lam lake national tourist area, along the two sides of Tran Hung Dao, Hung Vuong and Nguyen Du streets; Nam Ho area, Da Quyslope, road to Trai Mat, and Cau Dat tea hill, among others.
The purple-pink flowers create an unusual attraction for local people and tourists alike.
