Da Lat City in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong has approved a project to plant more cherry trees in local inner-city streets.
Under the project worth VND1 billion (USD43,478), 219 3-4 metre high cherry trees will be grown around Xuan Huong and Tuyen Lam lakes and along many streets such as Tran Hung Dao, Hung Vuong, Nam Ho, Da Quy-Trai Mat area and Cau Dat tea hill.

Cherry blossoms can be seen in many areas of Lam Dong Province, including at the bottom of Lang Biang Mountain, the centre of Da Sar Town, Da Nhim Commune in Lac Duong District and lots of streets in the city.
The cherry blossoms are among products to lure tourists to Da Lat City.
