Vi Thi Nhu Quynh Likely to Miss Round 2 of National Volleyball Championship

Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, a key player for the national volleyball team, is expected to be absent from the Hanoi team lineup for the second round of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship. The matches are scheduled to take place in Vinh Long from October 14 to October 25.

Quynh participated in the first round of the championship held in Dong Anh, Hanoi, earlier this year. However, she has not been able to compete recently due to health issues, which also prevented her from joining the Vietnamese women's volleyball team at the 2026 Asian Championship in China.

The coaching staff of the Hanoi women's team is currently evaluating their roster and is likely to exclude Quynh from the official list for the upcoming matches. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet plans to include setter Dinh Thi Van, who has been loaned from the Bac Ninh team. Dinh Thi Van has previously represented the national team during preparations for the SEA V.Cup 2026.

In the second round, the Hanoi women's team will reinforce their squad with only one foreign player, Brankica Mihajovic from Serbia. The anticipated lineup for the second round includes players such as Pham Thi Thanh Chuc, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Luu Thi Dieu Linh, Le Thanh Thuy, Le Thuy Linh, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Pham Thuy Linh, Nguyen Ly Thuy Vi, Vu Thi Huyen Trang, Duong Ngoc Quynh Anh, Do Que Tran, Brankica Mihajovic, Dinh Thi Van, and Vi Thi Yen Nhi.

Currently, the Hanoi women's team leads the rankings with seven victories from the first round. The second round promises to be an exciting event as teams compete for the championship title.
