Thai Media Amazed by Rapid Construction of Vietnam's PVF Stadium

Recent reports from Thai media have highlighted the impressive speed and design of the PVF Stadium currently under construction in Vietnam. The Krian Buriram news outlet noted that the stadium's images were so striking that they initially believed it was a product of artificial intelligence. However, upon further investigation, they realized it was a real construction project.

The PVF Stadium, which is expected to hold 60,000 spectators, is being built with the aim of becoming one of the leading modern stadiums in Vietnam. The project commenced on October 19, 2025, and in less than ten months, construction has already surpassed 60% completion, with a target to finish by March 2027.

As the stadium takes shape, all four stands are being developed simultaneously. A notable feature of the PVF Stadium is its massive dome structure, weighing approximately 22,000 tons. Two steel beams, each measuring 269 meters and weighing nearly 4,500 tons, are being lifted by four 72-meter high supports using cranes capable of lifting up to 1,250 tons.

Once completed, the PVF Stadium will be the second largest in Vietnam, following My Dinh Stadium. It will feature an innovative retractable roof system that can fully open or close within 12 to 20 minutes, making it the first stadium in Vietnam with such technology. Additionally, the stadium will include a 36-meter high and 55-meter wide end zone glass door.

The entire sports complex, covering approximately 92 hectares, will also house a multi-purpose gymnasium, training fields, technical areas, and various auxiliary facilities. Designed to FIFA standards, the PVF Stadium aims to serve as a center for training, competition, and hosting international sporting events.

Notably, the playing surface will utilize hybrid modular grass technology similar to that used at Wembley Stadium and the Singapore National Stadium. This technology ensures quick drainage and high durability, making it suitable for hosting large-scale sporting events.
