The Vietnam women's volleyball team is gearing up for the SEA V.Cup 2026, with training scheduled to commence in Dong Anh, Hanoi, starting July 25. Currently, the team is training at the Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports, but they will relocate to Dong Anh to prepare for the first leg of the tournament, which will take place from July 31 to August 2.

Head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet will lead 14 key players in this early training session to ensure they are well-prepared for the competition. The organizers of the SEA V.Cup 2026 have allowed teams to adjust their registered players for each leg of the tournament, which gives the coach flexibility in selecting the most suitable players for participation.

As the host of the first leg, Vietnam is looking to make a strong impression. Tickets for the matches have already gone on sale to the public in Dong Anh, indicating a high level of interest from fans.

In addition to the women's team, three players from VTV Binh Dien Long An—Lan Vy, Huong Ngo, and Khanh My—are currently training with the PFU Blue Cats in Japan. This training program is designed to enhance their skills and provide them with valuable experience in a professional sports environment.

Meanwhile, the Vietnam men's volleyball team has faced challenges, recently dropping to 69th in the FIVB world rankings after a defeat against Thailand in the second leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026. However, they secured a victory against Myanmar, which may help improve their standing.
